Our trip to Patagonia started on March 21, 2002. We flew from New York to Santago, Chile, a 12 hour flight.
At our hotel we met other members of our trip. We had a tour of the city and on the next day took a four hour flight to
Puntas Arenas.

We arrived on our ship, the Cruceros Australis, at about 6 PM and were welcomed by Captain Oscar Sheward. After finding our cabins and briefly
unpacking we went to the Magallanes lounge where we were welcomed by the entire crew and naturalists.

In the days that followed we would make many new friends, view spectacular scenic sights, get close to a great variety
of birds and animals, and set foot on lands that appeared untouched by mankind. It was a great trip!
