The glaciers were spectacular. Some we viewed from the boat only, while with others we took the zodiacs ashore and came very
close to their surface. We found that when you make a loud noise you can make the glaciers calve. We yelled and then took
pictures of the break up of a small section of the glacier.
The D'Agostini glacier we enjoyed from the deck of the ship while we went ashore and took a walk close to the Pia glacier. Our ship passed
alongside the Avenue of the Glaciers named after Holland, France, Italy, Germany and Romania.
We did manage a short foray into Argentina where on the island of Tiera del Fuego we visited the city of Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world.
Some of our group went to the local airport and flew around the Cape Horn.
